When you visit our website, we may automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is used solely for security and to improve the platform's performance.
3. How We Use Your Personal Data
For Workers: We use your data to create and maintain your registration profile, share your professional details with verified employers who are looking for workers matching your skills, and to contact you if a potential employer expresses interest.
For Employers: We use your data to verify your registration, create your employer profile, match your hiring requirements with suitable worker profiles, and contact you regarding relevant matches.
For All Users: We use data to respond to queries, send important platform updates (no unsolicited marketing), and comply with applicable UAE laws.
We process your data on the legal basis of consent (you actively submit this form) and performance of a service (connecting you with employment opportunities), as permitted under the UAE PDPL.
4. What We Will Never Do With Your Data

5. Who We Share Your Data With
With Employers: When an employer searches for workers matching your trade, location, and experience, your professional profile (name, trade, experience, location, visa status, and phone number) may be shared with that employer so they can contact you directly. By registering on Milaap, you consent to this sharing.
With Service Providers: We use trusted third-party technology providers to host and operate the platform. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
For Legal Compliance: We may disclose your data if required to do so by UAE law, court order, or government authority — only to the minimum extent required.
We do not share your data with any other parties.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your registration remains active on the platform. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your profile within 30 days of receiving your request. Some data may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form for statistical purposes, but this data cannot be used to identify you.

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your privacy, we will notify affected users and the UAE Data Office as required by the PDPL.
9. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Milaap serves workers and employers across multiple countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Philippines, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your home country. We ensure that any cross-border transfer of personal data is conducted in accordance with the UAE PDPL and applicable data protection laws.
10. Children's Privacy
Milaap is a platform for working adults seeking employment. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our platform, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will delete the data promptly.
